    Job Description: We are seeking an entry-level AutoCAD Technician to join our growing team. As an AutoCAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in the planning and design phase of our projects, facilitating the pre-fabrication of system components in our fabrication facilities. You will collaborate with our team members to develop both 2D and 3D drawings that align with the contractual requirements of our clients and enhance the efficiency of our mechanical system installations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Read and interpret job specifications, contract drawings, and equipment submittals.
    • Produce spooling, spool maps, and dimensional drawings.
    • Create title block drawings based on hand sketches.
    • Participate in Building Information Modeling (BIM) projects as needed.
    • Conduct field visits to collect data using hand measurements, laser measuring devices, and digital scanning equipment.
    • Assist onsite personnel with system layout using Trimble Rapid Positioning System equipment.
    • Adhere to all company standards outlined in the employee handbook.
    • Perform any other duties assigned within this job function.

    Requirements:

    • Proficiency in REVIT and MS Office programs.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to comprehend technical specifications.
    • Familiarity with BIM processes and software preferred.
    • Willingness to conduct field visits and work collaboratively with onsite teams.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Previous exposure to mechanical systems or construction industry preferred.
    • Associate degree or certification in drafting or related field preferred.
