    Description

    Purpose: The purpose of this position is to provide financial, payroll, and HR compliance leadership that ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and strategic support for executive decision-making.

     

    Responsibilities:

    Accounting & Reporting Oversight:
    • Manage Club and Long Term Garage customer enrollment and billing through the online billing platform
    •  Prepare and post journal entries for payroll accrual, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and club activity.
    •  Confirm intercompany account balances and ensure all balance sheet accounts are supported with documentation.
    •  Reconcile all bank accounts and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
    •  Own and lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate, complete, and auditable financial results by the 5th business day of each month
    •  Maintain responsibility for general ledger integrity, reconciliations, and financial accuracy
    •  Support the annual budgeting process with accurate documentation.
    •  Design, implement, and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance
    •  Ensure accurate data integration and reconciliation between financial systems (QuickBooks, Blue Chip ERP, Biller Genie)
    •  Assist in analyzing and developing dashboards within the VIR Business Intelligence (BI) system to support operational insight, key performance indicators, and reporting
    •  Serve as acting department head in the absence of the Finance & HR Director

                                                                  Payroll, Benefits & HR Compliance Oversight: 

    • Provide senior-level oversight of bi-weekly payroll processing and payroll controls
    •  Oversee benefits administration, including health plans, HRA, COBRA, and retirement plans
    •  Coordinate 401(k) audits, filings, and compliance requirements
    •  Ensure timely and accurate completion of all labor and HR compliance reporting, including:
    •  Develop, maintain, and standardize job descriptions in collaboration with department leaders to ensure role clarity, compliance, and alignment with organizational needs
    •  Support recruiting, compensation, performance management, and compliance initiatives.
    •  Provide support in planning Employee engagement events throughout the year

     

    Requirements
    •  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
    •  5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience preferred
    •  Ability to work multiple weekends throughout the year
    •  Drug test and background check required
    •  Strong computer and accounting skills, attention to detail, a fair and consistently pleasant demeanor and the ability to relate well with others.
    •  Positive attitude, innovative mindset, and high energy level are required
    •  Must sign a Non Disclosure Agreement
