Halifax is Going GREEN! Come and celebrate the 4th Annual Earth Day Celebration at the Halifax Farmer's Market from 10-4 pm.
There will be many kid activities. Plus the United Way is hosting an Art Contest. Kids will receive a 16X14 canvas to paint and will be judged in age categories. Blessed Hope will have kids activities too.
Benton Thomas Office Products has provided "Daily Acts of Green Pledge Cards." The cards list 10 ways to daily help the environment. Imaging if we all did 3 a day!!
Staunton River State Park & Forestry will have tree Giveaways!
Check out Hurd Farm Petting Zoo, Master Gardner's, Bee Keepers, and The Humane Society w/ pet adoptions.
Electronic Recycling at the corner of Cemetery & Houston Street (Near the Library., Sponsored by St. John's Episcopal Church and Scotts Recycling.) Bring any and all electronic devices. IF IT PLUGS IN BRING IT IN!

If you get hungry you can enjoy Farmer's Market Healthy Snacks, Pizza, or Maria's Concessions.
Music & Entertainment throught the day! Satterfield Southern Gospel will perform form 10-10:45, Essence of Movement 11-11:30, Zumba Demonstration 1-1:30, Kirstin Wellons 2-2:30, and Walker Abbott 2:45 to3:30.

Vendor permit applications for the 2013 Season are now available at Halifax Town Hall, 70 South Main Street. The permit fee for the entire season at the Halifax Farmers Market is only $35.00 for the season or $7.00 per Saturday.
