The Halifax County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the official launch of the Forward Momentum Committee, a proactive new initiative dedicated to showcasing local progress and fostering community-wide pride.

In an era of rapid change, the Forward Momentum Committee will serve as a catalyst for positive storytelling and strategic growth. The committee’s mission is built on four key pillars: showcasing active growth, highlighting the best of the county, building deeper community connections, and capitalizing on the unique strengths that already exist within the region.

“We are at a turning point where our county’s potential is meeting real, tangible opportunity,” said Susan Throckmorton, President and CEO. “The Forward Momentum Committee isn't just about planning for the future; it’s about shining a light on the excellence that is happening right now and ensuring our residents and business owners feel a shared sense of pride in our collective progress.”

The committee is comprised of local leaders, business owners, and community advocates who will oversee projects such as a new "Community Spotlight" series or local business appreciation campaigns.
