On September fourth, The Community Foundation of the Dan River Region is celebrating its 30th Anniversary.
Thousands of contributions from generous donors, and prudent financial management by our board of directors, mean that The Foundation now manages $98 million dollars. Over 30 years, The Foundation has awarded grants and scholarships totaling more than 32 million dollars. This grantmaking reflects the generosity of our community and the transformative power of philanthropy. Every dollar entrusted to The Foundation is invested to serve this region in perpetuity. Since 1996, The Foundation continues to be dedicated to improving quality of life, providing support for those in need, and creating life-changing opportunities.

The Foundation was founded to improve and enrich the lives of the region’s residents by encouraging and facilitating donations; by managing, investing, and distributing these donations in accordance with donors’ wishes while meeting community needs; and by ensuring these donations create a lasting legacy of growth and opportunity throughout the region.

The Foundation encourages everyone to celebrate 30 years by sharing how grants and scholarships have changed their life on their social media. Tag them at CFDRR.
