J. E. Burton Construction is a third-generation family owned and operated, fully licensed, bonded and insured, general contractor in Virginia and North Carolina. Since our beginning in 1937, we have prided ourselves in building our clients success by building lasting value into their facilities. We were the first in the southside to be LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certified.

As we enter our 88th year, we have grown to include over 40 full-time field and office staff trained and educated in completing commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects on time, on budget, and of the highest quality. Over the years we have also given back to our community not only by providing quality construction but also in supporting our local YMCA, Halifax Cancer Association, Dixie Youth Baseball/Softball, and Halifax County Public Schools Education Foundation to name a few. We are always looking for opportunities to improve our skills and to improve our community.
