  • What Does the Halifax County Chamber of Commerce Do?

While networking is an important part of Chamber membership, the Chamber's mission goes far beyond exchanging business cards. Every program, event, and partnership is designed to create opportunities for businesses to grow and for our community to prosper.

    How Is the Chamber Funded?

One of the biggest misconceptions about Chambers of Commerce is that they are funded by local government. In reality, the Halifax County Chamber of Commerce is an independent, nonprofit organization that does not receive operating funds from local, state, or federal government.

Instead, the Chamber is supported through membership investments and non-dues revenue, including sponsorships, events, and fundraising activities. These investments allow the Chamber to provide business programs, educational opportunities, networking events, community initiatives, and advocacy on behalf of the local business community.

Every membership investment and event sponsorship helps strengthen the Chamber's ability to serve Halifax County. By investing in the Chamber, members are not only supporting their own businesses—they are helping build a stronger, more connected, and more prosperous community for everyone.
