Virginia State Parks History and Culture Day @ Staunton River State Park
Come out and help us celebrate the history of Virginia State Parks with a tour of the historic buildings in the park created by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Participants will be transported around the park on an open-air hay wagon to view the visitor center, cabins, and picnic shelters build by the CCC before the park opened in 1936. There is no fee to participate. Space is limited, so guests should contact the park office to sign up.
