Historic Hotel Groundbreaking Marks a New Era for South Boston, Virginia

A long-awaited moment is finally here. The former John Randolph Hotel—one of South Boston’s most cherished landmarks—is stepping into its next chapter. The groundbreaking of The Rook at South Boston is more than a construction milestone; it is a symbol of renewal, unity, and the belief that this community deserves the very best.

The successful closing of the  $13.78 million  redevelopment of The John Randolph Hotel into The Rook at South Boston marks a significant step forward for downtown revitalization.
