The Halifax County Chamber of Commerce will host a free event for the public featuring candidates running for Halifax County Board of Supervisors, and Halifax County School Board. The format will feature five minutes of comments by each candidate followed by five to eight questions prepared by the Chamber’s Legislative Committee.

The event will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the South Boston Town Hall: 420 Main Street, South Boston, VA. The event will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. Four candidates have confirmed attendance.

The purpose of the event is to provide the public with an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates in a structured and impartial setting. Audience questions will not be taken, and there will be no direct interaction or rebuttals between candidates.
