Teresa Roane, librarian and archivist for the United Daughters of the Confederacy, will be guest speaker at the South Boston - Halifax County Museum of Fine Arts and History in honor of Black History Month.
Roane's lecture "Free People of Color" will cover the significant and often overlooked contribution that Free People of Color living in the South provided to the Confederacy during the Civil War.
