    Quality Assurance Technician

    GLA in South Boston, VA is looking to add an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to our team.  Our quality assurance department is a fast-paced environment requiring employees to work with all aspects of our company.    QA Technicians will be responsible for inspection of product prior to shipping, inspecting finished cushions as they are assembled, assembly of furniture, and providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.   Ideal candidates must be a problem solver that thinks outside of the box and has the ability to multitask and pays close attention to detail. 
    Responsibilities Include:
    • Effectively communicate with internal and external costumers regarding quality issues
    • Investigate any product issues using warranty guidelines and respond appropriately
    • Enter replacement orders and process credits and invoice requests
    • Work with production on quality issues and how to correct them moving forward
    • File freight claims for damaged product
    • Issue call tags to move product as needed
    • Inspect cushions and covers through the production cycle for fit and quality
    • Verify fabric codes match
    • Check outgoing shipments for correct product, quantity, pallet size, and documentation
    • Assemble furniture as needed
    • Inspect received product for damages  
    Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • 2-3 years quality experience preferred
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience with FedEx/UPS systems preferred
    • Forklift experience preferred  
    • Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds
