Applebee’s FOH Shift Manager assists the restaurant team in achieving the policies and procedures in place for operational excellence. They also help to protect the Applebee’s brand by maintaining a sanitary, safe, respectful, efficient and quality work environment while effectively managing Team Members and operational/product costs.
Responsibilities / Qualifications:
Ensure that every guest feels welcome and is given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
Fill in for other FOH employees as needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
Demonstrate strong Leadership – during shift oversee areas of the restaurant FOH operations and assist with decisions on matters of importance to guest service.
Work with staff to ensure that shift opening and closing duties are completed correctly and that cleanliness and maintenance are maintained.
Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
Communicate with management and ownership to keep all parties promptly and fully informed of all issues (i.e., problems, unusual matters of significance, and positive events) and take prompt action where necessary.
Two or more years of front-of-the-house and other roles of increasing responsibility in the food and beverage industry.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Organized and capable of multi-tasking with attention to detail.
Experience using POS systems.
Ability to be on feet for several hours at a time.
