Halifax County is looking for qualified individuals to fill a full-time position working as an Animal Control Officer. Qualified applicants should possess a high school diploma and a driver’s license valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia.   This is heavy work requiring lifting 100 pounds.  A criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and substance testing is required.  Ability to attend the Animal Control Officer academy within twelve months of hire.
