Robotics/Programming Teacher at HCHS
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
The candidate must be eligible or possess a Virginia teacher license an endorsement in one of the following areas: technology education, electronics technology, or industrial robotics . Also must have an endorsement in the following areas: computer science, computer science specialist, mathematics, business ed-general office procedures, business ed-stenography, business ed-data processing, business and info technology, data processing.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintains records as required by law and complies with state, federal, and school board policies and regulations.Attends meetings as required. Demonstrates knowledge of subject area. Plans for individual student differences. Utilizes a variety of teaching methods. Utilizes effective motivational strategies. Sets, communicates, and maintains high standards for responsible student behavior. Demonstrates respect, consideration, and courtesy. Cooperates with other teachers to exchange ideas. Maintains professionalism during stressful situations. Maintains confidentiality. Accepts and fulfills additional responsibilities.
