    Hours: M-F, Rotating 7am-4pm and 10am-7pm


    Rogers Heating & Cooling is looking to add a strong Dispatcher to our growing team in South Boston, VA. The Dispatcher will be responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the service and installation schedule for our team to maintain the highest level of customer service while meeting and exceeding company objectives.

    Other responsibilities include:

    · Scheduling and dispatching service calls

    · Managing installation schedule

    · Scheduling installations and communicate it with customers

    · Working with service techs to close out each job before moving to the next

    · Monitoring GPS throughout day to keep technicians on track and customers informed on status

    · Providing installers a project checklist for each job

    · Making sure each checklist is turned in after each job is complete

    · Providing CSR a handover when each installation is complete so they can register each unit and put together customer packets

    · Creating sales list each week and coordinate with Installation Manager on equipment that needs to be ordered each week

    · Understanding the skills strengths and weaknesses of field technicians so as to dispatch them in relation to the job opportunity and ability of the technician

    · Processing customer financing requests

    · Submitting warranty claims and ensure parts get ordered and sent back

    · Processing invoices (review, get information needed to complete, print for CSR)

    · Processing rebates for customers

    · Pulling permits for needed jobs

    · Scheduling sub-contractors or cranes, if needed

    · Providing daily schedule to installers, techs and manager

    · Providing manager weekly reports on schedule and jobs installed

    · On a weekly basis, review technicians’ strengths with management

    · Organizing on call schedule for technicians

    · Checking in deliveries when needed – make sure it is correct equipment and is not damaged

    · Acting as backup to CSR when they are unavailable or out of office

    · Attending in person and online training sessions throughout year

    · Data entry in company software and Microsoft Office programs

    · Keeping office and work area clean and organized

    · Copying, typing, emailing, faxing

    · Helping with marketing activities as needed

    · Other tasks as assigned


    · College degree preferred, high school diploma

    · Ability to multitask

    · Ability to work well under pressure

    · Ability to handle difficult customers professionally

    · Ability to represent Rogers Heating & Cooling in a professional manner with customers, vendors, staff and the general public

    · Detail oriented and highly organized

    · Ability to accurately enter data into computer

    · Adaptability—the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
