  • Town Clerk/Administrative Assistant to the Town Manager

    Duties include but are not limited to providing administrative assistance to the Town Manager and the Mayor with the highest level of accuracy and confidence. The candidate will prepare, post, record, and maintain Ton Council agendas, minutes, ordinances, and resolutions. Must attend all council meetings and record minutes. Maintains official town records of Town Council minutes, Town Code, contracts, deeds, and easements.

    This position is responsible for preparing agenda, minutes, and resolution for the South Boston Industrial Authority. Serves as official Records Manager and FOIA Officer. This position will respond to citizen inquiries and complaints as well as have a thorough knowledge of administrative processes/systems of public administration related to municipal government. This position will also maintain custody of Town Seal and act as town notary. 

    Candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 
    B.S. degree in Public Administration and or business management with 7+ years of experience is preferred. 

    This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. The position requires work outside of regular scheduled hours for community functions and Town Council meetings. 

    Salary Range: $45,000-$55,000 including full benefits.
