  • Administrative Assistant

    Patrick Henry’s Red Hill (Brookneal, VA) is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant who will serve under the Director of Operations in the following functions:

    1. Operations – answer telephone, handle online museum shop orders and inventory on the online museum shop website, assist with planning and execution of Red Hill events, create, and send monthly e-newsletters
    2. Human Resources/Management – assist visitor center associates, maintain the schedule, care, and implementation of Liberty Trunks, schedule tours and field trips and serve as the point of contact, schedule volunteers for tours, field trips, and events, act as host/hostess to visitors at Red Hill
    3. Finance – assist the Director of Operations with incoming monies, banking, and mailing, and other duties as assigned
    The successful candidate will have:

    Work requirements will include:
    • ability to work some weekends, holidays, and special events
    • proficiency in Microsoft office
    • ability to lift 20 pounds
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • coursework or equivalent experience in fields such as accounting, human resources, communication, and education
    • proficiency in design programs such as Canva
    • experience working or volunteering for a nonprofit
