Nostalgic Christmas Parade by Destination Downtown South Boston

Christmas is just around the corner!!!

And we're excited to announce our 2026 Parade Theme! It's "A Notalgic Christmas" in South Boston this year and it's the perfect time to browse back into your memory banks of Christmases long ago.

We've already had lots of calls asking about the theme and we're excited to get started on parade entries. There are endless possibilities with this theme!

Think Norman Rockwell inspired settings with snow covered log cabins and horse-drawn buggies, a glowing fireplace with handmade stockings, a tree decked out in bubble lights and tinsel, or carolers dressed in Victorian-era attire.

Entrants are encouraged to incorporate vintage elements such as old-fashioned toys, tinsel, beloved characters, traditions, and scenes that capture the warmth of Christmases of yesterday when the world was a little bit slower and a bit more peaceful.

Whether you are inspired by a family farmhouse celebration, a snow-covered mountain, a Victorian Christmas, or a favorite holiday tradition, the possibilities are endless. Registration online is open now!
