NASCAR Nextel Cup driver Jeff Burton, a native of South Boston, was the Keynote Speaker for the 2007 Annual Meeting and Banquet; Jeff spoke to the crowd about the business side of NASCAR.

Larry Sneed, chairman of the Chamber of  Commerce Board of Directors, presents the 2006 Business of the Year award to South Boston Speedway employees Cathy Rice, Helen Barksdale and Nick Igdalsky. The business was cited for helping to start the  Halifax County Motorsports Academy and bringing hundreds of thosands of people to South Boston, as well as celebrating 50 years of racing  history in South Boston this year.
